- Formulas tested before delivery
What we can do to your sheet
Most jobs fall into one of these. If yours does not, ask.
Add to it
New tabs, extra columns, more categories, or a new calculation your sheet does not have yet.
Fix what is broken
Totals that stopped adding up, formulas that return errors, and ranges that no longer cover all your rows.
Add a dashboard or charts
A summary page that shows the numbers you check most, drawn from the data you already keep.
Clean it up
Simplify a sheet that grew past what anyone can follow: consistent columns, no duplicate entries, and a layout people can read.
Make it harder to get wrong
Dropdowns and checks that stop bad entries, plus highlighting for anything missing or overdue.
Bring several files into one
Combine data that lives in more than one file into a single source of truth with one summary.
Common situations
If one of these sounds like yours, send it over.
How it works
You send the file and tell us what is wrong. We send back one that works.
Send a copy
Share a link or attach a copy of your sheet. Your original stays untouched.
Get a quote
We reply with what we would change, how long it takes and what it costs. You approve it first.
We change and test
Formulas are checked against real numbers before anything is sent back.
You get it back
You get the updated workbook and a short summary of what changed.
What to send
- A link to the sheet or a copy of the file. Tell us if it is an Excel file or a Google Sheet.
- What is wrong or missing, and what it should do instead. A screenshot or an example of the result you expect helps.
- If you bought one of our templates, which one.
- Whether the file uses macros or add-ins. Google Sheets does not run Excel macros, so we will tell you what is possible in the app you use.
- If the file holds private details, send a copy with the real names and numbers swapped for samples. That is usually all we need.
How pricing works
Every job is quoted before any work starts. You approve the scope and price first.
- The price depends on how much there is to build or fix: the number of tabs, how involved the formulas and summary are, and how soon you need it.
- A formula fix or one added tab is a smaller job. Rebuilding or consolidating a large file with many tabs is a bigger one. If you are not sure, send the file and we will say what it would take.
- Your quote lists what we will build, how long it takes and what it costs. The quote is the agreement for the job.
- Changes after delivery are an easy request. Send what you want different and we quote it like any other job.
Questions
Can you fix a file I built myself?
Yes. We work on our templates and on your own files, in Excel or Google Sheets.
Will you change my original file?
We ask you to send a copy, so your original stays as it is. We send back the updated version.
Can you add to a Gridwell template I bought?
Yes. Send the template name and what you want added or changed. We quote it like any other job.
What about macros?
Tell us if your file uses macros or add-ins. Excel macros do not run in Google Sheets, so we will say what is possible for the app you use before quoting.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of the job. Tell us your deadline in the request and the quote states the timing.
Do you work with companies?
Yes. Teams use us for project budgets, inventory tracking, client logs and reporting.
Is this financial, tax or legal advice?
No. We fix and extend how a workbook calculates and displays your information. We do not advise on what the numbers mean for your taxes, finances or legal position. See our Disclaimers.
